A long time between airshows thanks to our friend Covid, it was good to see the aircraft in the sky, and on display, again. The 2023 airshow was sold out, which I don’t believe has ever happened before.
As always, enjoyed the day and the photography but this might be the last Avalon Airshow for a while. I haven’t missed one since moving to Australia and there has not been a lot of changes or new things to shoot.
One new thing this year was The Black Eagles, Republic of Korea’s Air Force Demonstration Team. Eight planes flying together in a half hour display, very entertaining and professional.
There didn’t seem to be too many ‘classic warbirds’ this year, which visually a bit of a shame.
