The 2019 Avalon Airshow was a hot one, 40 degrees and shade was hard to come by. Sunscreen and much water as well as a new hat got me through the day. Oh, and I knew there was a beer in the fridge when I got home 🙂
It was hot enough on Friday that a number of the classic warbirds such as the Spitfire and Kittyhawk we not able to fly. Apparently the 40 degrees and V-12 engines do not get along well.
But, as always, it was an enjoyable day with all of the sights and sounds of Avalon. The next airshow in 2021 will also be the RAAF centenary so should be a heck of a show!
